Annual Trek Outfit Hiking Trip: Grand Teton Adventure – Day 2 Exploring Teton Village and Beyond

Sep 15, 2024

The second day of our Grand Teton adventure began in the charming Teton Village, where we geared up for another day full of exploration and excitement. With the amazing sights we experienced on Day 1, we were eager to see what the rest of this trip had in store.

Morning: Jackson Hole Tram to Rendezvous Mountain & GT Skywalk

We kicked off our morning by hopping on the iconic Jackson Hole Tram to the summit of Rendezvous Mountain. The tram ride itself was an adventure, offering stunning panoramic views of the Grand Teton range as we ascended to 10,450 feet. From the summit, we made our way to the Skywalk, a must-see spot that offered breathtaking views of the valley below.

With the wind in our faces and the sprawling vistas all around, this sky-high vantage point provided the perfect backdrop for some unforgettable group photos. We took out our Trek Outfit Trekking Poles – Multifunctional with Navigation Tools (Shop Now) for a quick photo op, showing off how versatile and useful they had been during our adventures so far.

Brunch at Mangy Moose, Jackson Hole

After soaking in the views at the summit, we headed back down to Teton Village for a well-deserved brunch at the legendary Mangy Moose. Established in 1967, this spot is known for its rustic charm and hearty meals. We enjoyed a delicious spread of breakfast classics, fueling up for the activities that lay ahead. A warm cup of coffee and the cozy ambiance of the Mangy Moose made it a memorable part of our day.

Afternoon: Pontoon Float Trip on Snake River

Next up was a relaxing pontoon float trip on Snake River. The 2-hour and 30-minute journey allowed us to soak in the serene beauty of the Tetons from the water. As we drifted down the river, we were surrounded by pristine wilderness and occasional wildlife sightings, making it a peaceful escape from the more challenging hikes of the previous day.

During the float, the group chatted about the importance of quality gear on such adventures. Our Trek Outfit Trekking Poles came up as a must-have for tackling rugged terrain, providing stability, and doubling as useful navigation tools during our hikes.

Exploring Mormon Row

After our float trip, we made a stop at Mormon Row, an iconic spot known for its historic barns set against the dramatic backdrop of the Teton Range. This picturesque area provided another excellent opportunity for photos and a chance to reflect on the region's rich history. Walking through the area, we couldn’t help but appreciate the beauty and resilience of the old homesteads standing proudly amidst the vast landscape.

Dinner at Hatch Mexican Restaurant

As the day drew to a close, we headed to Hatch Mexican Restaurant in Jackson Hole for dinner. After a day of adventure, this vibrant eatery offered the perfect mix of hearty, flavorful dishes. From tacos to enchiladas, the fresh ingredients and bold spices left us feeling satisfied and ready to rest up for our final day in Grand Teton.
